Product DescriptionVinoUS Media Review
The 2015 Syrah is another terrific wine from Ballard Canyon. Plump, juicy and forward, it offers tons of near-term appeal, with striking purity of fruit and less of the overwrought character that plagues so many other Ballard Canyon wines. A dollop of Petite Sirah (12%) gives an extra element of depth and gravitas. Best of all, the 2015 delivers serious quality for the money. (Antonio Galloni)
Wine Advocate Review
Composed of 88% Syrah and 12% Petite Sirah, the 2015 Syrah has a deep garnet-purple color and youthfully shy nose of black cherries and red currants with touches of cracked black pepper, black soil, garrigue and Provence herbs. Medium-bodied with a very firm, chewy texture, it gives a good amount of peppery and spice-inspired flavors and a long, lively finish.
Wine Tasting Notes
Contains classic Ballard Canyon Syrah aromas of cassis, blackberry, and a hint of licorice. Concentrated flavors of dried cherries, blackberries and cocoa mix with velvety tannins that linger on the palate.
