VinoUS Media Review
Deep, lurid magenta. Expressive, oak-spiced cherry, blackberry and floral pastille aromas are complemented by building suggestions of vanilla and licorice. Sweet, seamless and pliant in the mouth, offering plush dark berry, cherry preserve, dark berry and spicecake flavors and a repeating vanilla note. Shows very good focus and energy on the long, juicy finish, which features repeating spiciness and velvety, slow-building tannins. Malo and 13 months of aging in new French oak barrels. Drinking window 2022-2030.
Wine Tasting Notes
Portia Triennia Ribera del Duero Tempranillo offers clean, bright, intense cherry with evolution to ruby-garnet. Intense and complex, very ripe black fruits, hints of licorice, caramel and cocoa. Powerful, fleshy and very balanced. Long finish and marked by roasted notes.
It is easy to pair with any type of grilled meat and mushrooms. Some fish with a lot of flavor or fatty, such as tuna or cod. Medium-cured cheeses; Emmental and Gruyere. Pasta with tomato and/or cheese.
