A classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot from Stellenbosch that captivates with its balanced and tasty character. Aromas of ripe berries and oak spices introduce a firm palate. Hints of dates and a dash of freshly grated nutmeg complement earthy ripe dark fruit flavors. Excellent acidity and a silky texture lead the senses through a long finish.

Wine Tasting Notes
Very deep, youthful color, and intense almost purple hue. Quintessential Meerlust Stellenbosch Rubicon Bordeaux Blend nose with violets, ripe plum, cedar wood, fennel, and intense spiciness. A typical liquorice note also evident on the nose. Still young and intense, the palate is full bodied, structured but packed with fresh dark fruit and rounded tannins. This is a vintage that is more approachable in youth because of the ripeness and richness levels attained in 2020 but will provide great complexity with further maturation.
