There's a pleasing amount of earth on the nose of this blend of 70% Zinfandel, 20% Petite Sirah, 7% Syrah and 3% Grenache, with mushroom, tar and asphalt aromas balancing the black plum core. Those earthy elements of turned soil, toasted thyme and peppercorn also benefit the palate's red plum flavors.
