Tasting Panel Review
An impressively inky black-purple hue and scents of blueberry, graphite, and violets reveal a concentrated red that tastes as though it costs three times the price. Dark chocolate-covered violets and blueberry are ravishing, and the sense of plush, round richness is certainly palpable without being over the top: At under 14% ABV, the wine's power is reined in, but its structure is firmly in place.
Wine Tasting Notes
This release showcases when depth, strength and elegance meet. Blended with 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot, the wine was aged in French oak and showcases cedary overtones supported by the round mid-palate body and tingly tannins on the edge of the finish. Entry exhibits soft earthtones on the nose with hints of cherry, blueberry and a vanilla-oak softness. Medium to full-bodied the wine reveals wonderful fruit ripeness supported by richness and a slightly chewy core. Perfect for a summer mixed grill!
