VinoUS Media Review
The 2019 Pinot Noir Bien Nacido Vineyard is a dense, brooding wine. Black cherry, lavender, spice, menthol and licorice are all explosive from the glass. This deep, potent Pinot packs a huge punch. I would give it a few years to settle down. Sadly, this is the last vintage for a while as the G block older vines were torn out. Drinking Window 2022-2034. (By Antonio Galloni on June 2021)
Wine Tasting Notes
This legendary, cool-climate vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley demonstrates the provocative nuances of high quality pinot noir. Aromas of black cherry, blackberry, plum, rose petal, graham cracker, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. Fruit flavors of black cherry, blackberry and black currant cascade on the palate, while hints of Kirsch liqueur, milk chocolate, smoke and mineral integrate with subtle oak to add to the complexity. This versatile Fess Parker Bien Nacido Vineyard Santa Maria Pinot Noir can be paired with grilled salmon, pork roast or beef tenderloin.
