Product DescriptionJames Suckling Review
Attractive purity and fragrance with aromas of roses, violets, raspberries and red plums, all intertwined. The palate has a fresh, juicy feel with supple, lively tannins carrying a bright, fresh finish. Drink or hold.
Wine Tasting Notes
Deep red-purple color. The tannins are ripe and integrated. Maipo Cabernet Sauvignon is characterized by scents of cassis and mint. Some dried fig and raspberry appear as well in this vintage. The rich and ripe fruit blends effortlessly with vanilla and spice derived from oak barrels. This wine is dense and concentrated, with good length and the capacity to improve for the next 3-5 years.

The nose and then the wonderful mouth feel of this wine takes me back to the '97 cabs from Napa that got me hooked for a long time. I haven't had a wine like this in some time. After I ordered 6, based on the points given by Suckling, I had one bottle and ordered a case. I'll probably order another one as this is such a spectacular deal. So reminiscent of the dark fruit, earthy aromas and wonderful body that the old cabs had for such a great price.
