Product Description
Cabernet Sauvignon from Maipo Valley, ChileWine Enthusiast Review
Rated 91
Woodsy berry and plum aromas are peppery and spicy, while this Cabernet from a very wet year feels plump and fleshy but low on acidity and thus short on kick. Chunky plum and berry flavors finish with dry tannins and leafy flavor notes that are common for Chile. Drink through 2022.
Wine Tasting Notes
Medalla Real Gold Medal has a very deep purple ink color. The nose is rich and full of dark blue fruit like blueberries, blackberries, dried figs and some soft spice notes. The wine has a sweet attack and a rich mid palate. The mouth has intense rounded ripe tannins that create the prominent backbone that leads the wine into a long creamy dark fruit finish.
