Wine Advocate Review
Pasqua's newest wine project is the Mai Dire Mai series that sees fruit sourced from some of the estate's latest vineyard acquisitions. The full-bodied 2011 Amarone della Valpolicella Mai Dire Mai impresses for the smoothness it presents both in terms of its aromatic display and the mouthfeel. There is a seamless succession of dark fruit aromas, followed by spice, tar and black licorice. The fruit sees four months of appassimento. These are impressive results. Drink now-2030.
Wine Tasting Notes
This is an opulent and decadent wine. A wine of great concentration, loaded with layers of fruits, with great structure, power and finesse. It is still young but reveals its personality. On the nose, intense aromas of forest fruits, cherry under spirits, cedar, cocoa and hints of leather. On the palate is rich, fleshy and complex with layers of dark fruit, clove, hints of chocolate and mocha. It has complexity and freshness, thanks to a good level of acidity and tannins are firm and silky. Extremely balanced with long, lingering finish.
