Wine Tasting Notes
Most of the Cabernet Franc from our Main Street Vineyard is blended into our Meritage. As in its native Bordeaux, this thickskinned grape adds floral and earthy characteristics to the final blend. But, from time to time I like to bottle a small amount ofthis lesser known variety during classic vintages. This was one of those vintages due to the warm, consistent growing season. This wine is dark, dense and ripe with a forward nose of currant, lavender, vanilla, and mint. Enjoy with the heartiest of dishes big juicy steaks, wild game, winter stews, andeven a meaty lasagna.
