The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard flows with the essence of mint, licorice, black cherries and flowers. It is a deep, muscular wine endowed with terrific richness and depth. Crushed rocks, graphite, minerals, smoke and tar are some of the many nuances that emerge on the dark, voluptuous finish. This seamless, pure wine is simply dazzling. The 2009 is the first Las Piedras from Paul Hobbs. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2029.

Wine Tasting Notes
The inaugural release of Las Piedras Cabernet Sauvignon is a study in structure and refinement. Deep garnet in color, it expresses aromas of blackberry, dark plum and boysenberry, along with a touch of clean earth. The palate is smooth and opulent, featuring finely sculpted layers of black currants, bittersweet cocoa, freshly cut cigar tobacco, damp earth and wet slate. The dense mid?palate tantalizes with acacia flowers and vanillin, and leads to a pleasing 60?second finish.
