Rated 91
The bouquet has multiple layers and evolves with nuances of black cherry, blueberry, violets, charcruterie, black liquorice and dried leafs. The texture of this Lodi cab exhibits soft dusty style tannins that make it a 10 year plus age-ability wine, medium plus for the body, with flavors of dark chocolate, boysenberry, dill, black pepper and a hint of pipe-tobacco. Very drinkable! Will smooth-out by "splash" decanting for 60+ minutes. 91pts for it's price point.
Wine Tasting Notes
Very dark and rich wine with silky, soft, round tannins. Crimson in color with rose petals and caramel aromas on the nose. Immediate flavors of candied black cherry and earthiness fill the mouth and end with a long intriguing finish layered with tobacco and charcoal tones. This is a delicious full bodied Cabernet from the 2007 harvest.
