Wine Advocate Review
Possessing struck match and savory notes over a core of apricots, spiced pears and marzipan with a touch of mandarin peel, the medium-bodied 2013 Coddington Chardonnay is open and expressive, yet with all the vivacity and intensity necessary for cellaring potential. Drink it 2016 to 2023.
Wine Tasting Notes
Usually the most flamboyant wine when young, the Coddington is a little subdued on the nose right now but is still showing the rich peach aromas expected from this vineyard. On the palate, however, this is very typical Coddington with its luscious, creamy texture that is very layered and long. The wine is a bit tighter than usual due to the vintage, and is an excellent example of what this vineyard can produce.
