VinoUS Media Review
The 2013 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano offers good intensity while retaining a mid-weight sense of structure. Sweet black cherry, plum, tobacco, licorice and rose petal notes are pushed forward. Some of the wine's initial intensity tapers off on the finish, but that is a relatively small critique for a wine that delivers so much pleasure. Hints of smoke, spice, dried herbs and leather add attractive savory undertones to the dark, muscular finish. I would give the 2013 6-12 months to soften a bit further. (Antonio Galloni)
Wine Tasting Notes
It has a vivid ruby red color and good concentration. Intense fragrant aroma with evident fruity notes among which wild black cherry, violet and vanilla. Full balanced flavor with noticeable but discreet tannic component. Can be served with appetizing first courses with meat and mushroom sauces, grilled meats and roasted white meats and medium aged cheese.
