Dark and muscular in style, with loam, roasted coffee and dark fig notes backed by more tar, tobacco and black cherry. Shows solid depth, with nicely buried acidity driving the finish. This has range and character. Syrah, Carmenere, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Mourvèdre and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2012.

Wine Tasting Notes
Intensely violet in color. A harmony of ripe black fruit such as berries, cassis, and forest fruits, delicately blended with oak and soft mineral notes. The palate offers well-balanced volume, soft, round tannins, and a long finish that shows both character and personality. Pairs well with hearty red meats with mild sauces. Ideally served with lightly seasoned red meats, fresh cheeses, pastas with spicy sauces, and dried fruit.
