A solid vintage of Footbolt, d'Arenberg’s bread-and-butter McLaren Vale Shiraz, this draws on a deep well of red fruit and ironstone tannins - think of cherries, strawberries and crushed black pepper flash roasted in an iron skillet. This starts off cedary and ends soft and warm, focused on fruit. A versatile red for most any roast or grilled meats.

Wine Tasting Notes
The Footbolt shows off a brooding nose of dark red cherries, rhubarb and cardamon spices, with underlying earthiness. The generous palate is well-structured, with juicy blood plums and mulberries on the mid palate, rounded out by cinnamon spice from seasoned oak and balanced acidity to keep the ripe fruit in check. Firm, powdery tannins provide a memorable finish.
