Striking flavors of cranberry and pomegranate are accented by mineral, earth and chocolate flavors in this intense, chewy red. The tannins are firm but well-integrated, and the acidity is lively. A bit edgy, but distinctive. Drink now through 2012.

Dark, intense, cherry red. Good aromatic intensity; complex, with hints of red and black fruit in liqueur, preserves and mineral notes. Rounded and well-balanced, with ripe, smooth tannins. Good integration of wood. Hints of ripe fruits in liqueur, suggesting raspberries, blueberries and blackberries. Nuances of licorice, wild herbs and mineral qualities. Good acidity. Long, persistent finish.
