Wine Tasting Notes ZATO is sato. Sato is a type of rice wine originating in the ISAN region (Northeastern region) of Thailand. Other similar type of rice wine in the world are Brem (Balinese rice wine), Cheongju (Korean rice wine), Choujiu (Chinese milky rice wine), Gamju (Korean sweet milky rice wine), Makkoli (Korean milky traditional rice wine), Ruou de (Vietnamese rice wine), Ruou nep (Vietnamese sweet milky rice wine), sake (Japanese rice wine), Sonti or Handia (Indian rice wine), Tuak and Lihing (Malaysian rice wine). It can be categorized as a sweeten Junmaishu and Genshu. ZATO can be served at room temperature, but best when chilled. Its unique sweet flavor together with coolly smell can be enjoyed by itself or pair with international cuisines especially Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Phillippines, Japanese, and more.
