Beckmen has always been one of my favorite producers for Rhone wines in the Central Coast. Their wines always get high nineties from Parker and Spectator, however one that often gets overlooked is the Cuvee Le Bec Rouge. This is a Grenache, Syrah blend that is fantastic. I love the juicy quality of the wine that makes my mouth water and thirst for another glass. This is like a great Cote du Rhone with a new world twist. As of 2006, the Beckmen's have been growing only biodynamic wines and the purity of the fruit really shows in this great offering.

Wine Tasting Notes
Our Cuvee Le Bec is a Southern Rhone style blend of four of the classified grapes of Chateauneuf du Pape, grown at our Purisima Mountain Vineyard. The Grenache attacks the front palate and fills the aromatics with bright berry fruit, the Mourvedre and Syrah fill the mid palate and finish darkening the fruit, adding spice, while the Counoise provides a supple silky texture.
