This wine hides its 14.9% alcohol well under layers of plush cassis and blueberry fruit. Cedar, vanilla and cinnamon add to its complexity, enhanced by hints of cracked pepper and marinated beef. This is supple in texture and broad in the mouth without being overly weighty. Drink now2017.

Wine Tasting Notes
The wine is not for the faint of heart. It is monolithic and extremely layered with a massive attack and a wave that passes through the mid palate and on to a long dark finish of chocolate, black fruit and spices. This wine is loaded with blackberry and plum, hints of pipe tobacco and intense black cherry and coffee. The big brother to Layer Cake this wine is basically like stuffing a giant German Black Forest Cake into a bottle and protecting it with a tenacious little dog. Hide this wine from your friends as there is very little and when it is gone...it's gone.
