Wine Spectator Review Rated 93 A stylish wine that's well-structured and concentrated, slow to unveil its mix of dried currant, blackberry and black licorice, gaining depth and complexity. Yet for all its glimpses of depth and nuance, this needs time. Best from 2012 through 2021.
Wine Tasting Notes Altus is currently very approachable and luscious with intense and lively aromas of pomegranate, crushed dried flowers, ripe black fruit, stone fruit, licorice, spices, and a pure creamy minerality. In the mouth, the entry is seamless, the tannins velvety, and the flavors have intensity and verve. The wine is mouth coating, the fruit power and chocolaty finish lingers for some time. This wine will benefit from cellaring, but will be at its expressive best over the next 5 to 10 years. 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 3% Malbec, 2% Petit Verdot
