Wine Spectator Review Rated 90 Intense and racy, with zesty wild berry, plum and raspberry flavors that are full-bodied, slowly coming into focus and gaining richness and depth. The pleasantly lingering finish has a bay leaf note. Drink now through 2014.
Wine Tasting Notes At first sniff, this wine starts revealing its fruity character, generously unfurling to reveal strawberry, black cherry, plum aromas and flavors. Cinnamon and vanilla notes pleasantly accentuate these fruit attributes, thanks to skilled oak barrel management. The Winery Lake Pinot Noir is a particularly nice food wine as the taut but bright acidity, light to medium body, and lean, but fine, smooth tannins would be a welcome and versatile accompaniment to many a meal.
